Kidz In Motion

I grew up in Deerfield, Illinois where my childhood was laden with many musical experiences that helped to shape me as an individual.  My father exposed me to Chicago Folk Music and Blues, and used to play guitar and sing to me when I was young.  I took dance classes from ballet to tap and jazz.  Apple Tree Theater/ Eileen Boevers' Performing Arts Traveling Troupe, the Deerfield Park District and Deerfield High School were hosts to nurturing my growing love for the performing arts.

I am a Colorado Licensed Elementary Teacher and I have held an array of educational teaching positions including Elementary Music, HS Drama & Speech, Kindergarten, Special Ed, Gifted/ Talented, ELL, and MS Social Studies.  After completing my Kindermusik Educator Certification, I created Kidz In Motion in 2005 and began teaching Kindermusik classes in the Ridgway, Montrose and Telluride communities.  I have presented workshops on the benefits of incorporating music and movement into early childhood development for educators, day care providers and parents at various conferences on the Western Slope.

My husband, Roger Sagal, practicing partner at the Tisdel Law Firm in Ouray, Colorado and  I are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Autumn (8) & Amelia (3).  We have lived in Ridgway, Colorado for over 12 years and love what this small, unique, amazing community has to offer.
